As those who attended our event in the past already know, Blackboard’s Teaching and Learning Conference (TLC) is not only a moment to get the latest about our solutions and services, but also an unparalleled opportunity to share knowledge with other educational leaders and learn from peers. TLC brings together the greatest minds in education from across Europe and beyond, giving you the opportunity to exchange ideas and best practices and discuss how to address today’s most pressing educational challenges.
Held on 9th-12th April at the prestigious University of Manchester, a truly global institution, with a reputation for education and innovation that resonates across the world, the 9th edition of the TLC won’t be short of learning opportunities.
We will start on 9th April with the much-anticipated return of DevCon, our preconference event dedicated to Developers and System Administrators. At DevCon, you will have the opportunity to take part in technical workshops, where you will be writing code, working on customisations and asking the experts your most technical questions.
The fourth preconference Academic Adoption Day will take place on the same day, giving you the opportunity to experience, explore, engage and evaluate key pedagogical practices including gamification, personalised learning and blended approaches.
You will also have the chance to attend the brand new free eTeacher preconference workshop, where you will receive an overview of the Fundamentals of Digital Teaching and Learning, an insight into Digital Teaching and Learning in Practice and a greater understanding of Excellence in Digital Teaching and Learning to drive student success at your institution.
Tuesday, 10th April will see the official opening of the conference. Volker Hirsch will kick-off with an inspiring keynote about future technology and its impact on education and your institutions. A worldwide renowned expert and entrepreneur, Volker brings with him a wealth of expertise in the fields of education technology, artificial intelligence and IoT.
On Wednesday we will have an executive panel of recognised experts and thought leaders to provide you with high-level insight into what’s happening in the world of education. You will have the chance to shape the conversation: in the upcoming weeks we will reach out to the Blackboard community and ask about some of the hot topics/questions you would like to be discussed during the session.
As always, during the entire conference, you will also have the chance to hear from our executives and experts, engage with them, ask questions and get the latest about our solutions and services.
