Last year, we announced a new partnership with Pearson to better support K-12 learners, teachers, and schools. Over the past year we’ve been working together to improve the integration and flow of data between your Blackboard products and Pearson’s leading K-12 student information system (SIS). We focused first on Blackboard Connect then turned our focus to Blackboard Learn.

We are pleased to announce the availability of a new two-way, “hands-free” data integration service between PowerSchool and Blackboard Learn (SaaS deployment model). What does that mean? To simplify digital classroom management, our Personalized Learning Solution now includes bi-directional data integration between Blackboard Learn and the PowerSchool Student Information System. We’ve minimized the time required to integrate an existing or new PowerSchool implementation within our Personalized Learning Solution. This simple workflow will fuel success in your digital classroom program by synchronizing users, classes, enrollments, assignments, and grades.

Oliver Wreford, Vice President of Product and Marketing, School Systems, at Pearson calls this new integration, “A slick, easy-to-use interface that brings together two great products. A definite win-win for PowerSchool and Blackboard users.”

In addition, the PowerSchool Blackboard Learn SaaS integration provides teachers access to the complete “learner learning data picture” in PowerSchool with no need to re-enter assignments or grades. The best part? Simplicity for teachers. Absolutely no extra steps for teachers in the LMS to make this happen.

The investment in our Pearson ISV partnership this past year is a sign of our strong investment in the K-12 market and our commitment to improving learner success. We are pleased to provide greater parent engagement and more powerful digital classroom solutions to the K-12 community.
