An easier way to manage and share school supply lists


With this school year coming to a close, it’s hard to believe that now is the time to plan for the 2016-2017 school year. One of the first questions parents may think about when getting ready for back-to-school is, “What supplies does my child need for the classroom?” Rather than searching email inboxes or digging through paper files for school supply lists, wouldn’t it be easier for parents to find lists posted in one convenient and familiar location?

Well, now the process of sharing lists is made easier with the new School Supply Lists custom app for Blackboard Web Community Manager. Developed in collaboration with TeacherLists, the apps help make it easier to upload, publish and share school supply lists with parents. Now site administrators can post lists in a uniform format, directly on school websites where parents regularly visit to find pertinent school information. The lists will also be discoverable on, and even directly on select retailers’ websites.
