We introduced a new chapter to our Teaching and Learning Conference (TLC) series last year with the first dedicated edition for our clients in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region. Hosted in Dubai, the three-day conference was tailored to the region’s specific EdTech landscape and its nuances. It was a big hit with our clients in the region, as well as educators and institutions. We’re excited to announce that we’re returning to Dubai for TLC 2020, which will be held at the Conrad Dubai Hotel from March 29 to 31.
The next year, in particular, will be an important one for Dubai: the city will host the World Expo. This will mark a first for the nation as well as the region. These developments have amplified the need for a workforce capable of competing on a global scale, and the region’s educators are increasingly focused on preparing the next generation of learners for this future.
TLC is a unique opportunity for educators to share information, insights and best practices. It is a chance for them to network, get up-to-date on the latest in EdTech, and explore future trends. First held in the UK in 2010, the conference has been growing steadily since with customized editions taking place around the world.
Last year, TLC attracted over 200 attendees from more than 70 institutions. The conference featured 40 sessions and workshops on important topics such as the spectrum of challenges and opportunities facing the region’s educational institutions; the evolving blueprint for teaching and learning; and the importance of keeping up in a rapidly changing environment.
TLC MEA 2020 will once again present an unrivaled platform to interact and to learn. We will shed light on the strategies and the transformative solutions that can help the region’s institutions meet the changing needs of the next generation. Our executive team will also share Blackboard’s roadmap for the region and the continuing investments we are making to support our clients in delivering a superior experience to teachers and students alike.
