Military Training and Technology (MT2) magazine has named Blackboard one of its Top Training & Simulation Companies for 2011.  This is the second year in a row that Blackboard has received such distinction, and follows from MT2’s recognition of Blackboard as a quickly rising and up-and-coming organization in 2010. According to MT2, the Top Training & Simulation Companies is a listing of organizations that have made a “significant impact on the military training industry across the spectrum of technologies and services.”

Companies on the list were chosen through a selective process that assessed their level of innovation and ability to have a direct impact on the effectiveness of the U.S. military. As a result of integrating Blackboard, MT2 magazine stated that “military students are better prepared for the realities they will face tomorrow, while also making the information accessible to officers in the field today.” Though the U.S. military is both diverse in its membership and geographically dispersed, Blackboard is able to leverage its vast educational experience to meet these unique challenges and provide solutions for our military. Blackboard is proud of its contributions to the training and simulation industry, especially through products like Blackboard Learn .

By allowing military users to quickly launch new courses, easily adapt course material to changing battlefield requirements, and foster an environment of continuous learning, we can meet the training and learning needs of all branches of today’s military and ultimately make a positive Impact on Mission.
