Today is the start of our Teaching and Learning Conference 2014, one of the premier annual gatherings of educators, technologists and industry leaders in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

We’ve expanded our vision for supporting teaching and learning with a wide range of innovative solutions that meet the challenges of learners today and tomorrow. This year our conference program reflects that broader view and provides a unique opportunity for educators, technologists and industry leaders to share ideas and best practices.

From today until May 2, at University College Dublin, education technology specialists from leading universities and colleges will be contributing to over 50 presentations and more than 10 workshops and training sessions. Topics such as the impact of big data on education, the emergence of new teaching and learning models, and how mobile technology is providing new opportunities to access and engage in education will all be on the agenda. Sharing innovative best practices and discussing ideas on how to improve student engagement and outcomes will also be a key part of the conference.

Stephen Heppell, Professor and Chair in New Media Environments at the Centre for Excellence in Media Practice of Bournemouth University and Eamon McAteer, Curriculum Consultant for C2k will deliver inspiring keynotes, while our own CEO Jay Bhatt will share his perspective on the new era of education and how the company is helping to address industry changes in a learner-centric world.

During the week we will keep you updated on the great stories and user cases that will be discussed. We are very much looking forward to a great exchange of ideas from a real diverse set of participants. Together we are shaping the future of education.
