Get to know the Blackboard Learn Experts in preparation for New Orleans.
BbWorld is so jam-packed full of great sessions, discussions, and fun times that it helps to plan ahead a little bit. The Learn team and I thought it would be fun to give you a roster of ‘who’s who’ on the team so that you can locate the right people for your needs at BbWorld. Many of these product experts will be doing cool product demos and min-sessions of favorite workflows in Blackboard Learn (even some future functionality). They will be available at the Blackboard Learn booth for discussions about software or to discuss the Amazon, VW Vans, and how King Edward II lost his wife! Let’s not delay – meet the experts who can give you answers to the questions you have about Blackboard Learn. (In order to not overwhelm you, there will be additional experts introduced in follow up posts – stay tuned)
Deb Everhart (Product Management). Subject Matter Expertise: Deb’s a chief architect for Learn so can talk about most anything product and roadmap related. Other topics; Exemplary Course Program (she is one of the Directors!) and digital content expert. Matt Davis (Solutions Engineering). Subject Matter Expertise: Change management, WebCT and Vista, Quality Matters and Exemplary courses program, strategic conversations, and client examples. Julie Kelleher (Product Marketing). Subject Matter Expertise: Content integration in Learn (user generated, publisher, OER content). Grading workflows, Synchronous and asynchronous tools. David Gibson (Solutions Engineering). Subject Matter Expertise: Deep knowledge of the Learn platform, methods of branching learning with adaptive release. Challenging use case or a technical problem. Jim Chalex (Product Management). Subject Matter Expertise: As Product Manager for Outcomes he can talk all about the product module, learning outcomes, rubrics, and accreditation. He is also the PM for Analytics for Learn making him a great resource for discussions on data visualization, measuring student & course activity. Karen Owens (Solutions Engineering). Subject Matter Expertise: the entire Learn 9.1 and ANGEL platforms.Content Conversion from ANGEL. Other cool interests: Recently traveled to the Amazon.
