Greetings from Australasia!

We’re here in Cairns, Queensland for this year’s BbSummit 2010. To spice things up, Blackboard Connect and Blackboard Mobile have teamed up to deliver a number of useful, informative sessions for this year’s participants. As both platforms work to provide students more mobility, it seems to be a natural pairing to demonstrate and share ways educators can better engage students through the combined use of our mobile content management and rapid communication systems.

We’re kicking the week off with Blackboard Mobile Executive leaders Kayvon Beykpour and Aaron Wasserman leading a discussion on the evolution of Blackboard Mobile with an overview of the Blackboard Mobile Learn and Blackboard Mobile Central platforms. Afterward, BbSummit attendees can join Blackboard Connect’s Keith Tyndall and Chye Seng Lee, the Divisional Director of Learning Technologies at Nanyang Technological University, for a presentation on how Blackboard Connect can be used by educators to improve communication at the course-level with students.
