Blackboard Engage: All the things you loved about Edline and more!
I wanted to take this opportunity to introduce myself as the new president of Blackboard Engage (formerly Edline). Blackboard Engage is a change in our name but not in our mission. We continue to support thousands of schools using the wide variety of K-12 website and gradebook solutions from Edline including Edline LCMS, SchoolWorld, SchoolFusion, SchoolCenter, GradeQuick, and Easy Grade Pro products.
I came to Blackboard Engage after serving as General Manager of Blackboard Collaborate and SVP of Corporate Development, and have been a part of the Blackboard family for 8 years now. I’m excited to be a part of this transition, and I wanted to share our visions for Blackboard Engage. The name change reflects our earnest desire for Blackboard Engage solutions to do just that—engage all members of the K-12 learning community in a meaningful way that supports families, increases parental engagement, and raises student achievement.
Additionally, the name change emphasizes the next natural step in integrating our Edline division into the Blackboard family, but it does not reflect how we plan to serve our customers. There are no changes to the Edline product or the people staffing our support and service teams.
As always, we will strive to keep everyone posted on any and all important changes and transitions. There is a lot of good energy and excitement about our products in K-12 including the new Mobile version that we just launched!
Keep an eye out for our K-12 division’s new name and come visit us at ISTE and BbWorld!
