Community Impact @ BbWorld
Hello BbWorld attendees – I have some exciting news for you
about a brand new initiative that I think you’re really going to enjoy.
This year at BbWorld, we want your help giving back to the
DC Community. On Monday, July 13, please join me, fellow conference go-ers and Blackboard staff for the
inaugural BbWorld volunteer event. In partnership with Greater DC Cares, a Washington DC-based
nonprofit organization, we will assemble science
toolkits that will be donated to DC public schools, helping teachers educate
K-12 students about the environment and sustainability practices.
It's the perfect way to connect with the community and fellow colleagues – old and new – before the conference begins.
Blackboard has already donated $10,000 to
the cause and will be teaming with our exhibit partners to make a combined
donation that will support Greater DC Cares' ongoing educational efforts in DC
public schools.
