The Education Research & Development Institute (ERDI) is great forum for K-12 leaders to influence the future of ed tech, and the event earlier this year in Phoenix was no exception. The Blackboard K-12 team was able to gather some great feedback about new features like Blackboard Connect for Teachers, and we also got a chance to hear how mobility is changing the way kids access instructional technology.
We also had a chance to capture thoughts from several superintendents of Blackboard Connect-enabled districts about how mass notification is working in their districts to increase safety and security, improve attendance and drive greater parental involvement.
In the video below, you can hear how Blackboard Connect is helping these superintendents reach their districts’ goals:
- Dr. David Behlow, North Shore District 112 (Illinois)
- Dr. Paul McKendrick, Lynchburg City School District (Virginia)
- Dr. Dennis Peterson, Minnetonka School District 276 (Minnesota)
- Dr. Renee Schuster, incoming superintendent at Hinsdale Community Consolidated School District 181 (Illinois)
