Hello – I am Sheryn Anthes, a member of the Blackboard product marketing organization. I am eager to share some of the new resources our team is working on this year to help our clients better prepare and plan for change.

Ever wonder what new capabilities Blackboard is considering for future development?  For the first time, Blackboard clients have the opportunity to explore where we might head with Blackboard Learn.  By having this insight, we hope that it will help you understand our vision regarding online learning strategies, even as you explore your own ideas and plans for the future.

The Project NG Playground*, launched earlier this year, provides a look at ideas of possible functionality. You can explore the possible features from a student, educator and instructional designer perspective. You also have the opportunity to rate and provide feedback on some of the possible capabilities. Now, we obviously can’t provide any assurance that any of these possible capabilities will actually be fully developed for a future release but we plan to use this feedback to help shape the direction of our development efforts.

So far, almost 1,000 clients have signed up for the NG Playground. They are actively recommending new capabilities, suggesting how existing functionality can be improved and expanding on each other’s ideas. This is a powerful community where collaboration happens.  Come join the conversation!
