Blackboard is Heading to Dreamforce 2011!

Dreamforce The countdown to Dreamforce 2011 is on (no really, look in the upper left-hand corner of the Dreamforce website)!  So how can we connect?  Here are few ways…

Booth #1006 – The whole point of all coming together in San Francisco is to meet face-to-face.   (Yes, even those of us focused on “the cloud” like to meet in real life!)  Make sure to stop by our booth to get the latest on our new app, enter to win giveaways, and leave a sales training tip in our virtual tip jar (see below)!

Twitter – We’ll be tweeting live from our booth, the Expo floor, and Dreamforce sessions, so be sure to follow us at @BlackboardProEd!  We’ll use the #DF11 and #Blackboard hashtags.

Blackboard Spotlighted at Cloudforce

Cloud computing is taking the enterprise world by storm.  In fact, thousands of people gathered last week at the Washington Convention Center for Cloudforce, the biggest cloud computing event ever held in Washington, D.C.   Salesforce.com CEO Mark Benioff delivered the keynote address to a crowd ready and palpably excited about the shift to social, mobile and open cloud computing. Blackboard naturally was a part of the action.

Blackboard heads to Cloudforce 2011 in D.C. – Will you be there?

In less than two weeks, cloud computing enthusiasts will converge on Washington, D.C. for the salesforce.com Cloudforce 2011 Tour. Blackboard will be on hand to talk to attendees about its learning management solutions and to share in the excitement of all things social, mobile, and just plain innovative. Why are we going? Well, that’s easy. Blackboard recently teamed up with salesforce.com to develop an improved learning solution for sales training and professional development. We are working together to integrate Salesforce and Blackboard Learn products in order to enable sales representatives and other users of Salesforce to enroll and complete training courses delivered on our platform. As you can see, this is a very exciting partnership.

ProSites goes Web 2.0 with Upgrades

Blackboard ProEd’s David Rosenbaum – a Senior Solutions Engineer – recently hosted a free webinar highlighting some of the new features in Blackboard ProSites, a hosted, easy-to-use online learning platform, is designed to help small and midsized organizations (and departments) manage and deploy training at a very low cost. The online demo provided attendees an in-depth overview of the new interface and the trendy tools that have been incorporated to make social learning more fluid than ever.

With a focus on usability, efficiency, engagement, and accessibility, ProSites has been designed to engage instructors and learners through an open, innovative platform, while enhancing the overall learning experience. The most notable aspects of the overhaul are the incorporation of a Web 2.0 interface and tools. Here are some of the great new features that users can look forward to:
