We’re continually evolving Blackboard Collaborate to improve the teaching and learning experience. In this release we focused on giving moderator’s more control over their presentation sharing, managing experiences over lower connection speeds, and significant improvements in the use of assistive technology.

Jump to a Specific Slide

Now when you share PowerPoint or PDF presentations in Collaborate, you can preview all of your slides and jump directly to the exact slide you want to show. We’ve integrated slide preview directly into the core product through a side panel to offer a contextual view of “what’s coming next.”

Blackboard Collaborate: Share File Navigation

Increased Attention to Accessibility

We’ve increased the ability to see and respond to content. You can now double-click files, applications, and whiteboards that you share or others share with you to zoom in. We’ve added color to our iconography to help differentiate capabilities, and to better identify active modes. And, we’ve resolved a number of accessibility related issues found during the Collaborate Technical Preview and 3rd party accessibility audits. You’ll see significant improvement in the use of assistive technology with this latest version of Collaborate.

Download Session Recordings

Users leveraging our Collaborate via either Session Administrator System or LTI can now download high quality .mp4 recordings of your sessions. Capture and reuse your content, and share it with your students and with your peers.

We hope you’ll enjoy the new enhancements to Blackboard Collaborate.
