It’s conference season, folks! And a lot of you are tasked by your colleagues to make the most of your time spent on the Exhibit Hall floor by engaging in conversations that can impact your jobs, learn what other educators are doing, and create relationships with vendors. If you want to up the ante this year and connect with even more people at conferences like BbWorld, we have some tips for you!
1.) Download the BbWorld mobile app to stay up-to-date on breaking news, must see sessions, conference photos, and more. This year’s app connects you to your favorite social media channels and even has a scavenger hunt!
2.) Follow @Blackboard on Twitter to get quick updates and the buzz on what’s happening at the event.
3.) Search for the conference hash tag and use it in your tweets to follow the latest conversations and join in with other attendees.

4.) Be sure to “Like” Blackboard on Facebook before BbWorld!
5.) Learn how to engage and connect with the ed tech community via social media during the conference in the *NEW* The Social Lounge, which is located at the entrance of the Exhibit Hall. Talk to social media experts and ask questions such as “why is social media important?” or “how do I get started?”

3:30-3:45PM – Content Worth Sharing Learn what sorts of subject matter you should share once you get connected.
4:30 – 5PM Blog with the Best of Them Meet the VIP Bloggers and see why creating your own personal brand via blogging
5:00-5:30PM Tweet up with Curtis Bonk Chat in-person with the instructor of Blackboard CourseSites’ first MOOC for Professional Development
6.) Use a Social Media curation platform:
BbWorld.com/live, is new this year and is a real-time Twitter curation platform, supported by Hashcaster.
